Client Case AGC Glass
Over AGC Glass
Meet Niels Schreuder. He is EU public affairs and communications adviser at AGC. He set up the public affairs section within AGC to detect all European legislation in the glass industry at an early stage.
It is important to detect early what is coming at us: which legislative drafts are on the table? What can we already do and what not yet? European regulation plays a central role in making the sector more sustainable: we must continuously respond to CO₂ standards while at the same time making clear what is technologically already feasible and where there are still limitations. This requires an active role towards Brussels, where the sector not only reacts to policy but also contributes.

The Challenge
The biggest challenge lies in detecting European policy developments in a timely manner. Due to the large number of draft documents and internal discussions, monitoring is a time consuming task, which makes proactive action difficult.

What Makes Polpo Special
You know exactly whom to contact at what moment. Polpo makes identifying and following political stakeholders very easy.
"Polpo makes the lobbying profession more professional. I find the Polpo platform very accessible. What stands out is the support, which is very transparent and clear. And with Pauline here in Brussels I’m in regular contact with her and she makes suggestions to me. Especially about what else is possible with Polpo."

“It is great that we can help AGC Glass with their monitoring. This perfectly demonstrates how we help companies further automate political monitoring. As a result, they automatically stay up to date with everything happening in the EU, which can be quite complex due to the large number of sources.”
